Regarding the Group Rate at the Embassy Suites on International Drive in Orlando:

Guests can reference “Kalish Memorial” or the code “KMS”

King or Double/Double Suites are at a special $99 rate for 1/18-1/21/09; however, they are sold out on 1/17.

Hotel Accomodations

A group rate has been established at the Embassy Suites on International Drive in Orlando. The rate is $99/night, including Sunday, Monday, and/or Tuesday nights. Breakfast is included, along with many amenities. This hotel is 3-4 miles from St. Luke's United Methodist Church. The discounted group rate is under the name "Kalish Memorial Service". Please check back tomorrow for the code needed for this reduced rate. Thank you.

A trust account has been opened in Jeff’s name and in lieu of flowers and gifts, the family is requesting donations that will go towards Hospice, Ulcerative Colitis, and the Cancer Society. Checks can be made in the name of Jeff Kalish and mailed to:

Dear friends and family,

I'm extremely saddened to say that Jeff passed away this morning. However, he is finally at peace without any illness or suffering.

Please continue to check back for information regarding the Service.

While Jeff remains at Mike Conley Hospice House, he has become somewhat unresponsive to external stimuli and will soon be at peace. Family is asking friends to please avoid visiting at this time.

Please be aware that Jeff was transitioned to the Mike Conley Hospice House at 2100 Oakley Server Drive in Clermont, Florida.

Visitors are welcome, but family is asking to please limit your time there due to Jeff's need for rest.

Update 1/1//09

At this time, Jeff is waiting to transition to Hospice in Clermont, Florida, upon the availability of space. Until then, he will remain at Florida Hospital in downtown Orlando (Room 10-212).

Family is asking that visitors please limit their time in the room to 15 minutes, allowing Jeff time to rest and avoiding over-stimulation.

Jeff's Condition

Dear friends and family,

Upon having surgery on Monday, 12/22, Doctors confirmed that Jeff is diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer in his Abdomen, Liver, and Bile Ducts. We've recently learned that Chemotherapy would not be a beneficial treatment for Jeff at this time.

Jeff is currently at Florida Hospital South in downtown Orlando, Florida, in Room 10-212. Family and friends are welcome at any time.
